haha and this is why you're not, nor will you ever be a GM at a dealership. business is flat out competition. all's fair in business, unless you get caught. that's how it works. i can tell you've never been in it. oh, and thanks for the economics lesson haha. every job i've ever had has been in business, or had some business aspects. i also took more than my share of classes on the subject in college, but if you had never given that crude half *** explaination of how the world works, i'd be lost. thanks alot. what would this thread be without you? better comes to mind.

thank you. instead of hating on me for bucking the system, you guys should thank people that do it. things don't change unless you change them. everybody's been paying sticker for this car. i intend to change that. from where i'm sitting, i really don't see how i COULDN't get the thing for less than sticker. it's just a car. he's just a salesperson. i am the almighty-serious-ready-to-buy-right-now-if-you-do-what-i-want-customer with perfect credit and 10k in cash to put down. in that scenario, the customer ALWAYS has the upper hand. it's just up to him whether he uses it correctly, or even at all.

EDIT: Whoa, I didn't realize that flame war starting on page two. Here is some practical advise
Take your time and don't let the dealer give you any **** about it. Talk about the deal as if its nothing for you to walk away and DON'T make any friends. A couple of dealers on this site will tell you otherwise but they're just dealers. Try calling around your area and pitting dealers against each others and only talk to sales MANAGERs on the phone. I got my evo 8 @ launch for invoice thru a simple phone call. I traveled 70 miles away but thats nothing. The worst thing you could do is walk into the dealership and muck about for half of the day until the salesman gets done blowing the manager and then comes to rape you.
Yeah I love dealers...
