Good article Anyway, they should have placed the 2.4l "World Engine" inside the current GTS as basically we have 3 Lancer variations of which the GTS is supposed to be the sporty one but is the heaviest of them all (DE is the lightest) and has the same engine/output as DE/ES. I understand that Mitsubishi has been in financial trouble for the past few years but the current Outlander in Japan has been using the 2.4l (170HP/167 torque) variant for 2 years and so it's not like it would cost them any extra R&D money to develop additional engine for a Lancer considering that all the Mitsubishi "World Engines" come from the same factory in Japan. Also, the price difference between the 2.0l and 2.4l can't be that large based upon Dodge Caliber pricing.
If the article is right then there will be 6 Lancer variations, Current DE, ES, GTS, GSX, Ralliart/GST, and Evo X (which itself will probably have another 2-3 variations). Thats a lot of variations for one car model from a company that sells only about 130K-150K vehicles per year in USA. I know they want to be more aggressive and sell more cars especially the new Lancer but I think that GTS/Ralliart (or whatever they'll call the NA 2.4l version) should be merged as one variation.

idk man i saw like a concept of the new to be rx-7 and it was bassically a 2 seater RX-8 IMO... idk i didnt really like it that much... they hybird supra looks very promessing but i kinda dont trust hybrid tech yet and i BET the price for a performance hybrid is in te skies and lets not forget if they mess up, imagin the repair cost if u voided ur warantee for customizin ur supra Hybrid... one word for the new GT-R... DROOOOOLLL!!!!! im in love with that car... too bad im too cheap for it... but i love the damn thing! its like sex on 4 wheels....they evo-X is like the only thing on the menu which i can still afford and like in terms of goodies...but ill wait for sum reviews so i kno that thing is "friendly"....

The STI is going hatch only. But subaru will still offer a new wrx sedan specifically to satisfy it's north american market. Although the new WRX is ugly and looks like a kia. Which led me to the new EVO X as my next car. I like it's styling. Very European and aggressive as well as fun to drive.
But the EVO X is a bit more car then i need. 320hp and a stiff suspension for a daily driver?
If this Lancer GSX does come out, that would definitley be what i get. Plus if the price competes with the WRX, that would make me happy too.
If the lancer GSX does come out, they will have a good bread and butter car to help financially make some profit much like the WRX was for subaru for the past few years.
