Evo X: Less Than 300 BHP!
Yes, it appears as though C&D is releasing info without giving the official specs away. MMNA will probably warn them on this I'm sure. However, it's good - or bad - news for us. Enjoy. BTW, see page 2 for all the juicy info.

MMNA has probably released HP numbers to the magazines. C&D didn't actually print the actual number, but they gave away a good clue. Remember, we're only 2 months away from the debut. Manufacturers usually release numbers early to the media, with the promise that they will keep their mouths shut.

The funny thing is there are so many people who form an opinion of a car simply based speculation on what they read..........
just wait till it gets here......then people can decide to love or hate the car.......

Yes, only time will tell. However, this all sounds pretty factual, man: "The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder will manage just under 300 horsepower (previous reports of 300-plus horsepower were pure optimism). A reinforced five-speed manual will be standard, and a six-speed dual-clutch sequential manual transmission will be available, similar to Volkswagen’s DSG."

That's just it. They can't give official facts yet, the very number yet, without breaking their promise to MMNA. C&D is sworn to secrecy. Not to say that they didn't let the cat out of the bag now with this article.

So what- no 300hp it's not like we will not mod. How come AI have a feeling that the day the car comes out someone will post threads about a X build-up and alcohol injection and take a pic of it sitting next to a C6 Z06 at a light giving it the finger? That's just what we do

The Evo X will hit showroom floors with six-pot calipers in the front and magneto-fluid dampers at each corner.
See? I can write "facts" too.
Frankly, until the official specs are released, this is just as much speculation as everything else. For now, I see no reason for Mitsu to stop at 300hp.

None of you have thought that maybe Mits is playing it soft with 300.
Maybe it is 330?
But man that back end is Ugly. Looks too much like 3-4 other cars now. And not just an Evo.
