If by chance the 4B11 proves itself.. am going to swap the engine, buying a X is an option to get the engine. The only downfall is the X is Throw up UGLY !!
Only time will tell what kind of abuse this engine can take in comparison to the 4G.

Another one for the dumbest thread ever... Albeit the worse EVO X hate thread ever.
Don't disclose your hate in secrecy because it just makes you look stupid.
This was just made to stir some more bull**** up thats all
Oh yeah and i got a friend who told me the X will come with 25 thousand horsepower! Trust me he is a insider !

Turbo power on any reciprocating piston engine is all about bottom end design. Good luck on the EVO X; let's hope the original EVO team is still together with 'less' accountant monkeys on their backs.

world engine in tiburon - WOW
world engine in evo - Limp S**T'
evo X is just S**T
evo IX had exlusive mitsu designed engine specifically
milled and tuned for evo. Why did mitsu deviate so much
from the past for the X?

^ I think primarily cause they decided to spend most of their time upgrading the development of the S-AWD. I really don't think the Evo X is intended for tuners anymore. It's for a larger more common demographic that will buy up a lot of these cars that is fast enough stock and makes them feel like good drivers via the S-AWD. I don't think they really felt the need to spend too much of their own research time on the engine for this one. That's what I think may have happened anyway.

wow, some people sure give Mitsu a lot of clout. Sure, the Evo is great and all but the bottom line is, Mitsubishi has never been perceived as a high quality brand. Hyundai is kicking Mitsu's butt right now in terms of quality and ratings. It's funny how people treat a Mitsu as if it's a BMW or a Porsche.

I recently met a friend who works for Hyundai as an engineer. We were talking about different cars and the topic of the Evo X came up.
Just for the record I never post unless I feel this is concrete and factual information. When it becomes more open knowledge to the public just know you heard it here first.

yeah, ksuchewie has a point. It doesn't matter if you work for a giant corporation as an engineer. I work for a pretty big one as a software engineer. i hear stuff from my management and my co-workers, but rarely does an engineer ever work on the complete product and knows the details of every portion of a giant project such as an engine. peon engineers rarely see the bigger picture of a product of that magnitude.
