I'm here to tell you that the engine is designed and built by Hyundai engineers, I'm also telling you that the new tiberon will have this same engine as told by my source. I'll decide to post specific engine specs when that information is available to me.

I'm posting facts.. not rumors about information that I believe nobody was aware of.

I swear, sometimes I hate that the Evo has become too affordable.. Everyday I see some of the most ignorant posts written by very young and immature individuals. I'm 30 years old, I don't have time to argue with you. This is the information I am offering you if you don't like it.. then be like the rest of the individuals and view and go to another thread.. If you would like more information, then ask like a gentleman and request for me to try to obtain more information if possible.

lol so true, when I had my NSX people would say thanks, here most of the evo owners are douchbags and something I hate the car because of the chitheads that own it. I am also 31yo.

Just think about it, why would Mitsu put an engine in the new EVO X, their halo car, that's FULLY designed by Hyundai? Doesn't make sense to me. I'm pretty confident that Mitsu has their own engineers that would work on the engine for the new Evo X but maybe I'm just crazy.
Also there have been way too many threads with "...info from some guy I know that works for company "x" that just installed the 4b11t into the new EVO X himself just 5 minutes ago, right before he leaked this info to me to go post on this form...".
Next time I see a new thread about the X, I hope it's with some real facts from Mitsubishi.
^ ^ ^ Pretty much what I was thinking

The Evo X's engine was already finalized design-wise for the past few months with the only thing being debated is "how much more then 300hp will this engine throw out outside of Japan". This while the new Tiburon is finally coming out in spy clothing... moreso say that to say that the Evo was probably further along in development then Hyundai's instance of the engine. Not to doubt Hyundai's willingness to upgrade their image to include performance vehicles and I bet their Tiburon finally being RWD will actually kick some *** performance wise, but to say that a Hyundai guy leaking information on what is going on in Mitsubishi is to say that a EA (Electronic Arts) developer is a reliable inside man for what happens in Capcom just because they may make games for the same video game console or an Adobe Systems employee is a great inside man for what goes on in Corel just because their companies may make software for the same operating system like Windows XP & Vista.
Also, Hyundai's reputation for performance vehicles isn't anywhere near Mitsubishi's with their history of rallying, the GT3000 & Eclipses, & FTO's being in their street cred. Ideas may be shared on how this new platform can kick *** between the two parties, but to say that Hyundai is SOLELY responsible for this? Really, c'mon now... question your inside man on just where he's getting HIS information or assumptions from

Whatever you say Author of this thread didn't bother to do any research on the topic what has been widely known on this thread for over a year. He named his thread a certain to attract attention and hits. He didn't provide any new or confirmed information, worse yet, his rambling sounds like hatered towards the new Evo.

but seriously, we have known the details about the world engine for a long time now. Like i said previously your inside source is embellishing just a little. If you can't even tell that much, I have a bridge i want to sell you.

How about this.. when the Hyundai Tiburon is released and you find that it's a RWD, has the same Engine and will look similar to a G37 Priced around 22,000 then you will find credit to my source.. In the meantime I'll stay quiet and lets all sit around and see how this turns out.

Listen....I heard through my brother's girlfriend's sister's husband's friend whose neighbor's daughter's boyfriend's boss' brother who picks up garbage outside the Mitsu plant said the new evo will have a variation of a LS7 (4 less cylinders) under the hood.

The only fact is a piece of garbage with Japanese writing with a blotch of EB paint on it.

definatly will have to see how the new x platforms performs,,, see how good it responds to mods and how good it hold,, like the 4g's do hold good.
although i will like to see Mitsu go back to the nice traditional 4g63 in the evo 8 evo 9 body style,,,,,, fo many,,, many reasons there are lots of companies that make performance parts and have done extensive research to get where they are with the 4g63...... mitsubishi need to go back to the 4g's

dont know if they're the same engine but mitsu's fan just dont want "hyundai" to have anything to do with "evo"... because they dont want inexpensive hyundai parts to be in their world famous evos...
