Yes It's Jdm And The Evo X's They Tested Was Jdm Spec Which Doesn't Have The Crash Standard 5 Mph Bumpers Ect,that The U.s. Specs Have. So That Means The Cars They Drove Weren't Even Crash Tested, So You Know There Will Be More Weight Added.

I,d say the US Evo IX would go 0-60 in 4.7-1/4 mile around 13.3 with a descent driver. There have been stock IX,s that have run the 1/4 in 12.9.But thats with an excellent driver cutting a nice 60ft. and some really quick shifting. With that same excellent driver i,m sure he would knock off the 0-60 time in about 4.5.

"The result: a 3085-lb., 5-passenger sedan that goes (and stops) like an Italian exotic."

Um..... when did it lose that much weight?

The Jdm Evo Ix Is Lighter Because It Does Not Have The Emissions Equipment And 5 Mph Bumpers, Side Door Beams, Ect Which Added Weight To The U.s. Spec Evo. And It Has Ayc!

From Road and track.com. They have just evaluated the EVO X. in Japan.
"Although the new car doesn't quite match the Evo IX's prowess in a straight line, it's quick nonetheless. It reached 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and dashed through the quarter in 13.8 sec." It is heavier with all the bells and whistle. But is faster at Mitsubishi's proving grounds near the city of Tokachi by 1 second per lap.

Yes, a review of the JDM Evo VIII MR from 2004 (!) is the best way to determine if the USDM X MR will beat the USDM IX MR. No one in the US has tested/driven a IX. Ever.
