It's a JDM RS, those people take their cars way more seriously than we do. I'm surprised it's not completely stripped and riding on 4 donuts.
Stop complaining.

^yup just the way you want to buy it, because you are going to be upgrading wheels and brakes anyways.

theoretically, why would the RS not have brembos........

It's the "track" version of the car........performance should be consistant with the last model minus weight......

WTF?

really the RS is built for professional track teams. They will add 6pot calipers superlight rims and strip it down even further for competion use only depending what class they run. It wouldn't make sense for them to start with the MR and trash away the calipers, rotors, navigation system etc..

There are a lot of people on this forum who bought their RS and are not part of a professional track team.

The car was technically a "track" version of the evo of which combines all of the performance of the standard car without any amenities or "Fluff" so the customer can have a car that is meant for performance.....period.

Considering that the last evo RS came with all of the performance goodies that the standard 8/9 did, this, to me shows that mitsu has swayed from what the RS is originally meant for.......

Before, it was the Evo "Lightweight", or the Evo "Track Edition".

Now, it's The Poor mans Evo...............and that sucks.

The RS has alway been teh tack car/rally car base moddle

brakes are down graded for use in rally cars which cant use teh brembo's

and race cars would upgrade the brakes anyways
