I also own a IX and love both the X and the IX.

 

To bad the TC isn't a bad looking car or the similarity might really bug some people. I'm just glad that the X won't perform like the TC. I'd rather it look like one that perform like one.

Let's be honest, it looks ugly like any other lancer before it.

 

I never said it was ugly. Hell, I owned a tC before I traded it in for the Evo. It was a great car. I still miss it sometimes

I feel I should also reiterate that my dislike towards the X is for it's exterior visuals only.

I look at my IX and see angles. You could draw one with only a straight edge and it would look amazing. I look at the X and see curves. And I can't really explain why, but it just triggers some neural reflex of 'bleehhhhhh.'

There is no jealousy or fear of what the X is going to bring to the table in terms of performance. I don't really care. Even the current Evo isn't the baddest thing on the road. If I wanted that (and could afford it ), I would've bought Italian instead of Japanese.

The new technology doesn't really interest me. I don't really race my car, so the super advanced traction control computers wouldn't really effect my day-to-day activities.

I think my only real worry about the X in terms of the mechanical is how Mitsubishi currently handles warranty work. (or the lack thereof.)

I'm pretty sure there have been a few threads where warranty work was declined on a legitimately stock vehicle citing 'abuse.' I'm left wondering how much it will be out of pocket to replace the broken things on a super advanced twin clutch transmission.

 

in this case, the Sh&^t and a sausage is looks pretty close, some times, so you dont care wich one is in your plate?

 

The ARC car would look better if they could eliminate the fender gap and I'm not a fan of the chrome wheels either. would look better bronze.

 

The Evo X looks huge in those pictures.

EVO X where's all the hype at.. 300HP + 0-60 in less than 5secs.. must I got on.. everything keeps shutting down...

SO it outlaps the USDM IX.. so what.. add those 2 extra add ons to a IX and some MIVEC on the 4G63 exhaust side and I got money on it outlaping the X by 1 sec.. I just dont see the 4B11 being able to fill its predecessor's shoes..

how do you propose to do this? to my knowledge not even the biggest tuners with HUGE budgets have done so.

the chassis of the X is lightyears beyond the IX. this you cannot change (unless you start welding and adding until it really isn't the same chassis anymore).

 

i wonder if all the "disappointment" comments were all like these also from the evo v, vi owners when they brought out the evo vii, viii, ix...i bet they were.

 

Indeed, but if you havnt read the comments on EVOM omg THAT TME LOOKS HOT i would trade my IX or VIII for it ! look at every Thread that has a VI in it ..

plus all of these evos shared one soul .. the "4G63"
