Sorry for the OT post, but I want to respond to something that was posted previously. These are the kinds of comments that cause the Honda guys to dislike Evo owners.
The record K series stock motor / stock head 646.90whp/522.40tq @ 7600 GT35R K24 block/stock K20a2head (11.2 @ 125).

I would love to see your 700hp stock internal cobalt info, that's an amazing figure. I've read the entire GM sport compact performance build book. GM recommends replacing pistons at 300hp, Rods and sleeves at 400hp, and crank at 500hp, block casting at 1000hp. These ratings are flywheel numbers. GM should be commended on providing this info to it's tuners. This is a great cook book for building a competitive Street Comp (SFWD) Cobalt.

Personally I think Mitsubishi fu$#ed up with the EVO X body style ! I went to see it when it came out to see if I would trade mine in but hell no ! Didnt like it at all ! It looks pretty ugly and ordinary ! Still best EVO's are 2007 and earlier models !!!! We have to keep the real EVO look tradition !!!

if the EVO X follows the same path as the past EVOs, the EVO X will essentially be the next EVO, with slight changes in body panels to freshen up and bring it to current trends. Look at the EVO VII, VIII, and IX; essentially they were the same car under the skin with minor mechanical drive train changes, but in your case (you not liking the body style) you might be waiting a long time to find a new evo that you like.
Or simply time will have its effects on you and you might decide to embrace the new design.
When the 350z came out, i hated it. One year later I had purchase one, and the next year i did the same again.

wrc dictates a maximum 2.0L displacement (and a 300hp limit...i think?)
we might be seeing something like this in the future...maybe. the 2.5L in the sti proved to be better on emissions than the jdm 2.0L. i dont know if it has to do with it being a boxer engine or not (i dont know how the engine determines emissions output)
it's possible but more than unlikely i'd say

You guys are forgetting that mitsi does have a past of making outstanding V6 twin turbo engines.
Forgive the link to another forum, but here is my car http://www.thegalantcenter.net/forum...ad.php?t=29823
It has AYC, the same W5M51 gearbox as an evo, but has a V6 2.5l twin turbo engine. Stock is 206kw and 363nm, which wasn't bad back in 1996, but still with the stock turbos and internal's I'm making around 280-290kw and around 550nm torque.
It makes 1.1 bar boost at just over 3000rpm, and check out the torque curve, those figures are at the wheels as well remember
I'm limited by the small stock turbos, a few people are running TD04's and TD05's and are making a lot more power than me on the stock internals.
The 6A13TT is an iron block with Aluminium heads, and so far has been fairly strong, out of all the guys on clubvr4, we've only had 2 or 3 broken engines and all of them have been caused by leaning out and bad tuning.
