that's for sure... from the numbers that the X already gets from even mild mods 400 hp really isn't a big deal... I don't know what extra suspension stuff, ecu, etc they will be doing... but it can't possibly cost the extra 40-45 grand that you can get an X for off the lot. The only real difference is when you go to sell it, because it's an FQ-400 it will resale probably very well... whereas the average guy who has put some good mods on his will likely lose money on his.

You guys all seem to be forgetting that these will be special edition cars that are going to be sold in very very very low numbers. I mean how many are they making...100? Those who can will pay extra for exclusivity.

haha 4mpg, what do you think your evo gets when you run it on the track? i no on the track my freind nic was getting like 5-7 mpg average in a very lightly modded evo 8, just a tbe and a piggyback with some suspension tweaks and tires. so complaining about that is silly

Oh really? A car that does 0-60 in 3.8 for 70k?
Hum, let's see:
1 - Gallardo LP560-4 $200,000
2 - Porsche 911 Turbo $120,00
3 - Porsche 911 GT2 $194,000
4 - Nissan GT-R $79,000
5 - Chevy Corvette Z06 $75,000
6 - Dodge Viper $89,000
8 - Saleen Dark Horse Extreme Mustang $90,000
I prolly forgot many more cars that are around the 3 seconds, but none of them are less than 70k+... except for the Cadillac CTS-V which is a very good car IMO
Those are all pricier than the FQ-400... even an '09 M3 does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and it's right there at $64,000.00 without options;
Maybe the reason why Mitsu will never bring the FQ family to the US is because of people like you lol
They'll make 100 of these cars and all will be sold, like the previous one; I'd pay the money for one of the rarest Evos if I had it

Two points, that sadly most here miss:
1) Exchange rates are 1 GBP (UK currency) = ~1.523 US dollars, at least as of a month or so ago. Therefore, to the Brits it is equivalent to $51,872 or so. You can't make a straight comparison, but in the area it is sold it is not 79,000 GBP. Someone else made a good calculation in a prior post. Would this car be worth around 10k more than a stock MR, hell yes.
2) To all the 'I could invest $2k and have more horsepower' - you are correct you could. And when you sell your VIII and get $15k for it (like I did) you will understand more about exclusivity. These car are crazy fast, out of the box, and will hold their value like no other evo.
That being said, I'll take a IX RS please...

I'll take a FQ just to say be able to say I have one. Then drive it around and ppl will envy me because I have a RHD FQ. If I bought that car, I wouldn't have to modify it. But knowing me, I probably would
