But Clarkson's point at the end of the video is true... HOW you drive the car makes a huge difference to fuel consumption.

The X is a good looking car. Grown up, more subtle, and comfortable. Weight to HP ratio doesn't do it for me, and the active excellent super handling AWD system is used how often? Ask only those who run time attack or AutoX... I really feel they attempted to build something for a select few weekend warriors with big pocketbooks. The XI will take the EVO out of the states if it is a hyrbid. I can see the past of the 300ZX/RX7/Supra repeating itself. Too much $ / Too little sales

Mitsu lost their mind and forgot where the evo came from. They just manage to build the first AWD Yaris....lol the evo X will for ever be the end of the legacy.

Hybrid doesn't have to be bad... RWD conventional 450hp + regenerative brake system and Williams F1 kinetic flywheel feeding front wheels = AWD that firesthe car out of corners. Would have destroyed the feild if it didn't break.

I do cling desperately to my 03' all mechanical 5spd driveline but no black and white TV.

I honestly have no problem with hybirds (unless its Prius!), but here's something to consider! hybrid tech means the car will be HEAVIER, granted it will have more HP, however consider this: Top Gears laps times have a decent representation of a cars power/handling/.... and Although Buggati Veyron has 1000+ HP its never gonna be on top BECAUSE its so damn heavy! so if the the next Gen evo is hybrid and has more horsepower it will be heavier and thats gonna mess with everything that an Evo is famous for!
