should have took the MR and take out the xenon, bbs, and auto trans. Replaced it with base stereo, 5 or 6 speed manual, black mitsubishi special wheels and charged GSR type pricing.

I never really cared for the looks of the X and this certainly didn't help change my opinion. Overall Mitsu could have done better.

It's interesting that Mitsubishi made a GSR with a SST tranny... when in actuallity... most people wanted an MR with a manual transmission.

Looks like it comes with the 2-pc rotors according to this pic:

You still have the GSR for those that want 3 pedals. This lets people who want a dual clutch get it for ~$35k instead of ~$40k.

This is not a bad thing for the Evo.

More sales = better future for the car.

I agree. This isn't going to REPLACE the GSR. It just offers a cheaper version of the car with the automated manual transmission. More sales = you'll see the evo for a longer period of time.

You still need to understand that they still haven't mentioned anything about the GSR, MR, or Touring yet. I'm assuming you'll be able to get leather in the GSR though.

While I agree that the reasoning of a cheaper AT, it's not the right move. Making the most expensive trim level a lil cheaper is not the same volume-mover as making the cheapest trim level cheaper. Throw a barebones RS on the market at like $29k and there would be crowds of people heading to dealers. Introducing a mid-level model might make someone buying a GSR pony up a lil more but that person was already going to buy a GSR. Or if that person was there for the AT MR then they're going to step down which loses Mitsu money.

I really want to know what's in store for the 2011 GSR. I've been looking at 08's since they're much cheaper now but I may hold off until Mitsu announces the '11 changes. If it's just accessory swapping I can do that on my own for much cheaper.

Any chance of a 320bhp RS please with some nice seats and wheels and a 5/6speed manual?
Maybe a small diet too.

Who knows
