I can see performance cars going hybrid. Porsche has been running a GT3 R hybrid, they've been pretty successful, completing 24 hour races, and placing on the podium. It's bound to trickle down to road cars and to other companies.
As far a a diesel goes, Audi has been racing their direct injection diesel and dominating everyone, it will be a little more difficult for americans to accept, but does have serious performance potential, they make massive torque and power, but just don't spin really high.

My VII is heaven and I am glad to have scored it before it disappeared off the market. The concept isnt bad looking... as long as they dont brand it as an EVO... as we EVO owners demand performance AND style to coexist... I think they are trying to make too many changes too quickly.
It really doesnt matter much to me because I don't believe they will ever capture my attention the same as they did when I bought my VII... and I do NOT plan to sell.

I like this concept better
that's just R&T making **** up like someone else said. it's the concept ZT made uglier. If mitsu does kill the EVO after the X, or looks like they are going to go in the wrong direction, i'll have to make sure to pick up a 2011 EVO X MR before the end of next year to go with my EVO IX MR.

My only reason why i don't think this will happen is the fact that most hybrids are expensive. Is Mitsu going to somehow make a performance hybrid without pricing it into GTR territory? I doubt it...
The 4B11T is only 2-3 yrs old. Why would Mitsu invest in an entirely new powerplant already? I say give the Mitsu direct injection and a tall 6th gear and call it a day.
