Evo X the last?

You are right, of course. However, they do it for advertising in the hopes that it builds excitement for their cars and helps sells their vehicles. It is money out the window but they still hope for a (small) return. I think Mitsubishi raced in WRC and at Dakar in the hopes that they could sell Evos and Monteros and other vehicles with their S-AWC system. Now that they don't do either any more and the focus is on the green movement, they putting aside all that. They'll still offer S-AWC but only because it allows people to go places in adverse conditions, not tear around jumping sand dunes and carving corners in the dirt sideways.
I think it is a terrible mistake and it makes me sad if they go green and give up on fast turbos and AWD vehicles.

Mitsubishi runs grupe N as they did always. Despite the success of the grupe A and the not so much sucsess of WRC . They always sold and made Greupe N cars for rally. RS line up for do it yourself or the factory N4 cars.
this is factory PWRC car

so yes the EVo is still in the WRC series but a different category where still is amazing car.
But the WRC is not really as i said rally anymore. Look up IRC and so, you will see how active they are still.

the problem is with your thinking the Mitsubishi is still active and runs WRC events , just doesn't run it with a WRC car. Which are non production cars , ergo nothing to do with the rally idea neither cars on the street...

I have no doubt in my mind that somewhere somehow Mitsubishi is racing the Evo and offers some form of factory support - I am just worried that the car and the effort is coming to an end.

I totally get that because right now the X is still in production. Right now the infrastructure is in place to sell cars to private teams. Are these teams factory backed? Either way the question is, what happens three years from now when it is time for a new Lancer? Will there be an XI? Will there be a Group N XI? Will there be any factory support.

I just sit back and watch. If they wont do it anymore, im sure we can find another manufacturer who will. So then see you there on that forum
Back then i thought nothing is better then a Lancia , until i got into the EVo. So you never know.
