+1 currently the lancer/outlander keep mitsubishi afloat. i was hoping for a more powerful more fuel efficient evo for the next generation but it looks like this will not happen.

I don't know, were talking one news source reporting the death of the Evo. I won't believe it until there is an official press release. I hope this is some kind of early April's fools shenanigans.

I really hope this doesn't happen. EV tech just isn't there yet. They're impractical for longer commutes, and the added complexity and cost (batteries ain't cheap) of a hybrid car is enough to keep me far, far away from those.

By killing off the Evo, Mitsu would be angering a good chunk of the enthusiasts who support them. Horrible move. I hope they reconsider, or at least keep offering the X for a good, long time.

Sucks for Mitsubishi. I hope they do well, this doesn't affect me much because the 10 was my last Evo anyhoo. On a lighter note I bet Subaru is smiling from ear to ear.

The Evo is the only thing keeping with Mitsu. If they stop making it, i won't buy another Mitsu, i'll just go back to Honda or something. Looks like an Sti might be in my future, that is if i ever get rid of my Evo.

It not the end of the world. Look at it this way; the supra, skylines, rx7's have been gone for quite a while but there is still plenty of motors and aftermarket support to be had. Just makes you appreciate it more when you see one. Hold on to what you got guys.

EFFFF. I will never be able to buy a brand new Evo. I was banking on there being a 10,11,12 like the evo 7,8,9. No one else makes anything I like...The Mazda Sti hatchback and the ugly sedan

I am actually glad if this does happen. Every good thing must come to an end in order for it to be remembered.

True but at the same time, someone has to make something worth buying...Not sold on the majority of new cars. The only one that comes close is the new 5.0 mustang GT
