You sure you want to buy a car from someone with so little knowledge about what they're selling you?

Now, it can easily sell for more. And in 1995, a friend of mine bought a 20,000 miles FD with touring package for $18k. The same car now still cost $14k with lot more miles on it.
Yea keep dreaming.

The Evo's 2-year deprecation is only about 32%, which is actually very good. The KBB has already estimated it's 5-year depreciation to only be 47% -- which is one of the lowest depreciation rates for ANY car. I believe the lowest 5-year depreciation rate for a car was around 44-45%, with the average being 65%. The driving factors for this is the car's relatively low production numbers, and high desirability. You can't say that about any other Mitsubishi vehicle, period.

Top 10 Cars With the Best Residual Value for 2004

Want to buy a car that really holds its value? If resale value is important to you, these are the cars likely to depreciate the least during the ownership period. Below we show the percentage of its original value that each vehicle is likely to retain after five years with an annual mileage of 15,000. Keep in mind that the residual value percentages are based on the national True Market Value® (TMV) price, plus typical options and destination charge. A quick scan of our list shows that import nameplates rule when it comes to retaining their value, Viper and Corvette excepted. Beyond that, it's clear that luxury nameplates hold an edge as well, though the lineups of non-luxury brands like Honda, Toyota and Volkswagen are also well represented.
Porsche 911 — 57%
Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class — 53%
Acura NSX — 52%

I hope the 05 comes out soon, I want to get a fully loaded model (leather), and my dealer only has 1 yellow, 1 red non-leather , and a whole crapload of rs's. I want a black, white, silver or the new electric blue which is much nicer than the blue by you puke color that they tried to sell me.

KBB did the '05s in the last month, and the Evolutions 2-year depreciation numbers were set, and based on that, they project the 5-year.

Note the sedan leader is a certain Mitsubishi. I can't believe it either -- truthfully I expected the Evolution to depreciate like my Eclipse (very quickly), but apparently that's not the case.
