Removal of MAF?

I was wondering how and what you need to remove the MAF. Sorry in advance for the dumb question.

What you need is a standalone ECU to contol a MAP based/speed density system if you want to remove it. An exampe would be the AEM, Motec, Power FC D-Jetro, Autotronic. The UTEC will not do this, atleast not at this time. I am sure others might know when and what to expect in the future maybe.

I suspect the next major firmware revision will address it...

If you want to run a UTEC, you can use a different MAF sensor from www.pro-flow.com their blowthrough sensor replaces the Karmann sensor and works with ANY piggyback or reflash

If you want speed density, and a UTEC, then you'll have to wait for the new feature to be released..

My personal opinion of speed density is that you should not try to run it unless you really need it. The stock MAF airflow is adequate for 400whp or more.. I switched to a blowthrough setup to improve drivability a little with some of my mods, but it isn't absolutely necessary unless you have a specific need for it.
