cold idle/idle problems. please help
Hi guys
I have an evo3 engine (i think similar to your 2nd gen dsm 4g63 but with different turbo and injectors)
td05-16G, 510cc injectors, walbro 255lph fuel pump and sard fpr set at 3bar with vac hose on. Other than that its stock everything
Heres my problem, on the dyno the afr is all great at 11.5, and so is cruising.
My only problem lies with idling.
When the engines heated up nicely it'll idle pretty ok. But when its cold it'll idle pretty badly. Adding compensation fuel w.r.t the running temp helped, but then i get black (carbon?) deposits on my garage floor. Lower it and it'll slowly stutter and die.
Timing at idle is set at 22degrees. Anyless and it'll stutter off and die.
Whats your settings at idle (for those who have similar setups but with different ecus)? Any suggestions?

i'm not sure at idle, the in exhaust wideband o2 i used couldn't accurately measure it.
but i doubt its lean, theres black deposits forming on the floor around my exhaust tail pipes.
any suggestions?
when warmed up it idles pretty ok, and at cold temps i have added up to 25% extra fuel to compensate. This allows it to idle reasonably well enough, but like mentioned, black deposits start forming on the floor.
