GT35R and Utec

Im about to purchase the AMS GT35R Turbo Kit and was wondering if it was worth getting a utec or going with a dyno flash/safc2 combo. I just wanna know what benefits will the Utec give me over the dynoflash/safc2 combo.

With the Utec you will be able to adjust your timing and fuel when you add new maps. The hardest part is getting a base map. I would go to a professional tuner and then you can tweak it from their.

Yea im gonna get a professional tuner to do it, turbo xs is only 20 mins from my house. I was wondering if the Utec has the ability to reduce lag like the AEM and if the Dyno Flash can also do it.

The Utec cannot reduce lag. Proper tuning can do that. But going to them is the BEST bet if they are close to you . Jermaine and Nathan are pretty sharp guys, heck TurboXS is nothing without them .

Also i heard that there is a map sensor now for the UTEC, is this true? if it is can you use VTA BOV without any problems.

The MAP sensor has nothing to do without running your BOV VTA, that would be the elimination of the MAf.

I didn't want to say that in the TurboXs forum. I have had both and i am VERY happy with my AEM . But then again my friend TampaTurbo is laying down almost 500whp with the Utec .

MA doesn't have inspection or you fake/buy one?
There's no way to pass inspection with AEM unless your state doesn't require you to be OBD2 compliant.

I would get something other than the reflash AFC. It works for slightly modded cars but not with a turbo this big. Also, if you get the flash route you need to actually explain to the tuner exactly what you want otherwise you get an incredibly untuned tune... low timing and rich AFR's. Plus you can tune your car for the weather, race gas, different mods, etc with something other than the reflash.
