Well we ran into several problems. we are finding out that there are some differences between a GSR and an MR. We had a couple of different issues that Hydra is working on currently. We had a fuel lag issue. The car wanted to be so rich down low in order to have good throttle responce that it would almost die. We were also having some idle issues that we havnt worked out yet. Phil has been gone to SEMA as well as being busy with some other stuff so we havnt worked on the car for a few weeks. The power was amazing while it was on the car, we had those other issues though that caused us to decide to take if off. Once we get all the kinks worked out then I will be able to provide a lot more detail and give you all a dyno chart as well as some 1320 times.

I thought there were a bunch of new users, guess not.
Lots of subies running hydra, mostly because of Element tuning. But there doesn't seem to be an Element like personality pushing the hydra to evos.
I am sure everyone is tired of hearing my point of view on the subject.
still, check it out, it's a good system. Just doesn't have a wide base of evo users under it's belt.

I was using it, but we had to take it off, due to a couple of different issues. Hopefully Hydra will be able to get the problems fixed so that I can run the unit.

I've had great experiences with the Hydra and Phil from Element Tuning. My Evo 8 is the second car I had with the Hydra. My first was an 2002 WRX. Here is a quick link to the dyno plot and mods for that.
http://www.elementtuning.com/EJ205HydraGreen.htm
My Evo 8 is set up with the Buschur 3065 kit and stage 1-4. Phil was able to
get 383hp out of it on pump gas at 21psi and a mild tune. On c16 he was able to
get 470hp @29psi.
Phil is an excellent tuner. I think he track record in the Subie community speaks for itself.
As far as the Hydra goes it is a high quality standalone. That is easily used. I now some people have had issues with the software as far as being user friendly. I think it is something you just need to get accustomed to. There is also a new window based version coming out. You can check it out here.

Here is also a review from Al (Dynoflash).

A few nice features it has is it has a wideband option and you can control a aquamist kit directly with the hydra.
