Want to understand more on Autronics EMS.
The SM4 comes standard with a software (Autotune). Apparently you can auto-tune the engine using wideband lambda and O2 sensor. Bsed on the infromation from autronics.com, it is a self tuning ECU. How reliable is Autotune? Anyone?

I wouldn't use the autotune function unless you are going to tune the car on the dyno. You need to hold the rpm as well as the load in each point on the map for the autotune function to work. I never use the autotune function. Best way of tuning is manual tuning.

the auto tune feature works well on the dyno and can also be used with simple maths functions (in the software) to tune from logs... works just as well on the road as it does on the dyno (dyno is a scoshe faster and safer, ie. no people to hit or laws to break)... autotune is very fast and can be calibrated for error percentage (to speed base tuning... ~5%) and then fine tuned later...

if you have any other questions, PM me as i don't frequent much past the frontpage of evom.

With all due respect, I'm not so sure...

If it doesn't look like this one then it may just be an SM4 on an adaptor board (which doesn't have enough outputs to do everything properly). And this one is still undergoing testing / updating for a while yet.

Hy!

I asked my local dealer about September 5th, he said 3-4 weeks so I asked again October 5th and he could not give a reliable date, he said that he has to wait untill the boards are available so I mailed autronics.

"The first boards are presented at the SEMA. After that a limited number of boards will be available. By late December there should be a lot more available."

Reads to me, as I don't like the "should be": If you can get your hands on one of these boards this year, you're damn lucky. I will try to

The dealerlist is found on the autronic website.

As I am an autronic dealer for my country, I know FOR SURE that the board IS made, it will be presented on SEMA and if someone is very impatient, ask your dealer to get you one...I know for a fact that one is always available

Where Do you think I got the statement "The first boards are presented at the SEMA. After that a limited number of boards will be available. By late December there should be a lot more available." from? Its a statement directly from one of the autronics guys. I think the autronics dealer for my country knows that I want one of these PnP, as I have told him to get one asap.

So all I have to do is wait till the dealer is coming up with good news.
