Coil On Plug DIS-2 question
I made my own COP set-up with Chrysler 300M coils, 93 DSM PTU (ignitor) and an MSD DIS-2.
I have a custom dyno flash, done before the COP set-up.
Car ran good, but I had to make the spark plug gap .024" to stop the high RPM miss. I'm running stock turbo set at 24PSI, and H2O/Meth injection.
So to eleviate the small gap I went with this COP deal.
I initially tried it with an AEM C2DI. It idled ok, accelerated fine and had great high RPM. (I increased gap back to .032"). But at part throttle cruising I had a prominent miss. I thought it was the AEM unit due to the recalls they had.
I just installed the MSD unit and I'm getting the same miss. I've tried different plug gaps. Since it idles fine, accelerates good and has great high rpm, I am dumb-founded on this part throttle miss.
Any body have any ideas what this is.
I'm thinking maybe since the ignition is more efficient that I'm running lean, but that's a guess.
Help
PS. I don't have a wideband O2 to check AFR.
