engine surging?

engine surging?
I just got my car back from the dealer, they did the syncros in the transmission. Now the car is surging at idle, going up and down looking to idle and then it finally settles at about 2000 rpm's. Anyone have this problem and know what it is? Everytime you slow to a stop it does it in neutral. Thanks for the help.

you know its funny, mine used to do that.. it unexplainably went through a period last year where it would idle at 1500 and sometimes "surge" to 2000.. and then it kinda stopped doing it by itself.
thats also kinda like how from about 10k- 15k miles on the car it used to burn a quart of oil every 2000 miles and now it doesnt burn oil at all between oil changes at almost 50k.. weird.
