MBC Help

I just installed an hallman evo rx MBC. IT works great but i have a few questions. In third gear if i go from 3500 rpm it spools to 21psi like i want it to, but at 5000rpm it starts to taper and at 7000 rpm i am at 15 psi. I expect it to taper some but should it be tapering 6psi????? The other thing that is bothering me is when i shift at 7000rpm in 2nd going to 3rd my rpms are at about 5000 so i never even see 21 psi in third when i am racing. I know my stock recurculating valve could be leaking but i only have 1300 mile on the car so it shouldnt be that bad. Lastly in 4th the same thing happens that 3rd gear does.

So here are the questions

What should i check to see why i am tapering so much (i know the bov can cause some of thid)?

Should i turn my MBC up to hold more boost in high RPM?

If i am at 21psi between 3500 and 5000 is my mbc set right or should i just be mostly concered with how high boost is at redline?

Thanks!!!

Oh yeah i am using the BOV way of hooking up the MBC. I am going to try the turbo way tonight to see how that works out.

this is normal for the boost to taper at higher rpm.I would only raise it 1 or 2 lbs to compensate, also check for leaks or replace tha stock bov.It is weak.

i kinda figured it was the stock BOV. I just didnt want to have to buy a new one already. trying to spend money on HP gaining things like the rest of my TBE and a turbotrix flash.

it should already have a small hole in the fitting on the waste gate side. if i wher you i would leave the mbc set the way it is and do a leak test. my stock bov started leaking at 9psi and would taper 3-4psi by redline (20-16 at redline). you dont want to spike over 21psi on 91 octaine to try and off set the taper. good luck, keep us updated.
