Regarding timing control
Does maft pro actually control your timing like a normal ems..like for example if I wanted to do a step retard on timing..dont pull any timing for first 3psi of boost...after that until 10psi..take .75 per lb of boost..and then between 10psi and 20psi take 1.0 degree per lb of boost...or is it a piggy back that has limited timing control?

I believe for Evos we cant use the timing as of yet but even when it does it will most likely piggyback to the ECU (If my ideas are correct on how it works) which means all it can do is change what the ECU thinks the timing is at which will force the ECU to make proper changes (Hence, if it WANTS to be at 10 degrees but you cheat it into thinking it has 5 it will, supposedly, add 5 degrees). So there is kinda a yes and a no to your answer. No it does not control timing at all, instead it lies to the ECU making the ECU change the timing to a value of +/- of where it should be... much like how the AFC works. But I would assume the software to make it retard based on boost would be very simple.
Yes, I believe it is a piggyback but it has boost input so it should be able to say (retard timing by 5 degrees at x boost).

take the injector ratio and put that in as a negative Mainscale correction.
if the stockers are 560's then 560/780 = .72 so put in -28%
The car should drive decently, so you can tweak mainscale for reasonable trims while cruising. Then leave mainscale alone and tune using the low,mid,high load pages.
If you are planning a reflash, then just have it flashed for 780's

You have to be able to monitor knock in order for this to work. You should never tap into the factory knock signal as it could dilute the signal and leave the motor less protected from actual knock events.
I am currently using a Link Electrosystems KnockLink which is a separate unit with it's own sensor.
