MAFT Pro Info and clarification

I have had lots of questions and misunderstandings about the new MAFT Pro so I will try to clear up a few things here.

The MAFT Pro can operate in 3 different modes,
MODE 1 - AFC mode, it works just like an AFC it can be installed as is with no other items still using the stock MAF sensor it will give a + or - 60% fuel adjustment over 14 RPM band at 3 different load levels in 1/2% steps. This gives it more capability than other products and room to grow over to more advanced levels, can also use the two things listed below under options

MODE 2 - Translator mode - Mode 2 will allow the use of a GM style MAF sensor like the original MAFT but still give the above tuning options, can also use the two things listed belowunder options

MODE 3 - Full Speed density. This mode will run the car without a MAF sensor at all like the old VPC. It is also fully tunable as in mode 1. To run this mode you will need a GM air temp sensor mounted in the uppipe and a GM or AEM map sensor. We have harnesses available to make installation easy. This mode also give full fuel control based on boost. Can also use the two things listed below under options

Options - There are two options for the MAFT the first is wide band controlled Air/Fuel tracking. With the connection of a wide band like an Innovate LC-1. You can specify a target air/fuel ratio for WOT conditions. The Pro will then monitor a/f ratio and adjust accordingly while going down the track. For example, if I want the car to run at 11.6 to 1 I specify that (I can pick differnet values across the RPM range) while going down the track if the car starts to get lean the Pro will add fuel if it gets rich it will take it away. For meth users it will lean it out while the meth is spraying. This is awesome. The unit is preconfigured for most popular wide band units.

The other option is closed loop boost control. You can add a harness and a solenoid and then specify whetever boost level you like and the Pro keeps it there. There is gain, TPS and other boost related controls as well.

Unit comes with full software and cable to connect to a PC for datalogging and programming if you do not wish to use the front panel buttons.

So you can have fuel control, timing control (COMING SOON), Closed loop Air/fuel control, and closed loop boost controller with full speed density if you like.

If you have more questions please post them here or call me at 586 790 4406
Units are available from TTP a sponsor here (and a Pro user on their EVO and at this time the most knowledgeable dealer on the EVO application), They are also available from Xtreme PSI and Buscher racing.

Well... I was drunk the other night and spilt a bunch of something all over my instructions

Do you have the same ones online anywhere? I finished the wiring so that should be fine but I am wondering more about the actual tuning variables and the TunerPro stuff. Thanks!

Got a question, can i just use this unit for the sole purpose of converting the maf to map and leave the tuning to a XEDE, becasue i would like to run this but use XEDE's tuning solution.

The MAFTPro has a MainScale adjustment that allows to shift the fueling to support the corresponding sized injectors. Pick your size, it does not matter.

Units are available from TTP a sponsor here (and a Pro user on their EVO and at this time the most knowledgeable dealer on the EVO application)
And Thanks Mike!

Here is our latest tune logged on a Full-Works Zeitronix ZT2. With the MAFTPro, we can tune in a way that MAF based tuning cannot be. Typically we find that if an a/f ratio is 11.7 in 3rd gear, it may be 11.4 in 4th gear and 10.8-10.9 in 5th gear. There is really no way around it with a unit utilizing the stock MAF.

With the MAFTPro, we can finally pick up the lost trap speed with the same target a/f in each gear which is great. So far we have gained over 2mph in the 1/4 and counting. Our next stop is 11.6 @ 118mph on the stock turbo.

As to head off CBRE discussions at the pass... Our goal is not to contend with CBRE. We are as enthusiastic about his records as the rest. He is a great driver and had a nicely setup car. We are just having fun.

Yes it is. It can be used on any car with a MAF.

It is a piggyback to the stock ECU so the factory ECU will still control the MIVEC cam.

can you just unplug your maf, throw this on and add a map and intake temp sensor and call it a day. I mean is it precalibrated to match the old maf signal perfect or is there settings and tunning to be done.
