This thread was a pre ECU Flash thread, why it was revived I havent a clue.

Only a small percentage of users will benefit from a stand alone ECU. Even fewer will benefit from a piggy back.

Under 600whp = ECU Flash custom tune.

Over 600whp = Ask your engine tuner what he prefers.

I think this matters more in regards to how much "fine tuning" someone wants to do. I think many people on this forum with a stand alone would blow up thier engine. I think some people that really are willing to learn how to tune will like the ability to change settings whenever they would like or whenever they change any mods without a reflash. Just my two cents.
