It's not worth even $100. $300 is ridiculous.

The S-AFC and pretty much every other piggyback computer became overpriced and obsolete as soon as things like ECUFlash, Mitsulogger, EvoScan and OpenECU came out.

Who cares if the dealership knows what you've done. You are modifying for a reason, right?

Don't be so fast. I haven't seen one example of a dealership detecting flash. 95%, if not more, have no idea how to detect a flash, and even if they know how to do it, they can't see what's been modified when using the MUT tool. The only way for them to really know is if they know how to use EcuFlash.

The only disadvantage to the AFC controllers is the lack of timing control

You're better off getting your own flashing / dataloging software and a cable. That way you can make subtle changes to your AMS flashed ECU and make it 100% custom to your car, on your gas, in your environment. The AFC will get you close, but nowhere near as good as the ECU when cutsom tuning is done. Sell the AFC on eBay to someone who isn't near your level of car prep.
