First Logs, Evoscan stored DTC's

Just got my Tactrix and ran EcuFlash with succesful downloads.

My Evoscan also succefully loaded and logged.. Attached first logs on 3rd gear shows almost no knock (count=1 in few instances). Yet I had error codes in the DTC window which varied at each click of the 'Check DTC Present' as follows:

- Injector Circuit (rarely showed)
- Vehicle speed sensor (rarely showed)
- barometric Pressure sensor (rarely showed)
- Knock sensor (almost always)
- Egr sensor (almost always)

The logs show the readings..

Moreover and this is really newbie: Does clicking on 'Clear DTCs' put off the light on the dash? It doesnt in my case, is there any way thru Evoscan to clear the light on the dash?

Your comments greatly appreciated..

Thanks,

Wael

Apparently the DTC thing doesn't work with newer Evos. I noticed it always reports different codes that aren't actually there. And clearing it doesn't work.

This works for Evo4Mad's car, so it must be specific to earlier Evos.

Exactly what i thought MalibuJack! I later logged in Evodxb's car and though his CEL light is off, he showed the same DTC's in random manners..

Maybe i ought to post this to Hamish to give us his point of view...

More comments appreciated!

Definitely let him know.. But I think he was already aware of it since I recall him commenting on it working with his older Evo..

Wazz do you mind posting my logs here in this thread... maybe the tuning guru's can take a look and tell us what they think...and see if our (jdm spec) ecu's have different maps than the USDM spec evos

my car is not flashed..
mods include:
-exhaust mani
-3" dp
-3" catless catback

It would be nice to see how your car is performing by logging the 02 Sensor and Timing also.

I now have an evo8 ecu in my car, so I am currently programming CEL codes to it. Yes those DTCs only work on Evo4 vehicles.
