dual stage MBC for 20psi and 12(WG) psi......possible?

hey guys,
is it possible to run a dual stage MBC (say TurboSmart) to have 20 psi for daily driving, and 12 psi for valets and stuff. also maybe when i'm in traffic and dont need all the power, or on long road trips.

the car will be tuned with ECUflash.
do i have to tune for 12 psi at all?
what are the cons of runnign the car at 12 psi if the car is tuned for 20 psi?
will it run too rich (waste gas?)

thanks!

With a MBC you can't lower the boost more than stock.

you can do that... itll work. you can set the 2nd stage for w/g which is 11/12 pounds.

other than that you want to leave it at full blast or the car will be running super rich if you're not tuned for that low of a boost and youll actually use more gas and kill your plugs sooner.

what you need to do is get a laptop and tactrix cable. Have a couple maps made you can switch around. i have a 87 oct map made for long trips. it cost me much less to fill up and i make 400+ per tank.

Cheers!

so u flash the car before the long trip, right?

also, on the low map u run 87 AND WG pressure (12 lb)?

when lowering the boost, doesn't the car actually run leaner?? i remember when i set my boost to 15 while testing something and my car ran leaner. lower boost means lower load cells and they're set to leaner numbers if i remember correctly.

you could do that... thats how some tuners have dual maps, race gas and pump.

doesnt always work very well because cars taper. That is doable but its kind of ghetto rigging it. The proper way is to have 2 maps

You have to tune for all the load cells you'll be driving in. If you're using less boost, you'll be in the lower load cells, simple as that.

No.... just one map. 'Low' boost will put you in the 100-180 load range or so. 'High' boost will put you in the 180+ area. Well, all depends on rpms, but anways..... Same map, just different areas of the map.

so i dont have to switch maps if i want to run low and high boost?
just tune the load ranges?

i would actually prefer bit flashing my car every time.
