This thread scares the hell out of me. I cannot believe it has not bee abolished so as to not screw up people's cars. It is never safe to take someone else's settings and put them in blindly without logging to make sure. Every car is different, whether it has the same mods or different mods, because conditions are never exactly the same (true octane, temp, humidity, leaks, etc).

true, but it does give some people a rough idea of were to start at. other then their afc settings hopefully people look at were that person is located(climate) as well as what mods they have.

Question for anyone, I have the Apexi TT as well, with the AFR hooked up and I believe I am seeing a setting on it that indicates voltage, would this be something similar to a logger or is this something I should just not mess with. BTW under WOT I have seen go as high as 1.05. Thanks

You cannot rely on the narrow band factory O2 voltage for tuning. You need to look at timing and add a wide band O2 sensor.

Well I know Wartalon does not use a wideband to tune but does have a datalogger, I am curious to others opinions on this, obviously I wouldn't want to tune only on that but was wondering if it may be somewhere to start, thanks for the reply though.

Actually, what I've seen with most TTs is that they will provide you a calculated wideband AFR reading based off the narrowband figures, and these numbers are usually very close to the true wideband readings while on the dyno. This is only in my experience on 2 separate dyno days with the wideband o2 hooked up while also watching the readings on the TT. I would definitely not use those readings as a tuning device, but I do think those readings give you a good indication as to how rich you are. For example, on an Evo with a mail-in flash, his TT was showing ~10.5 at the top of 3rd while on the dyno. The dynograph also showed mid-to-high 10s, which was not surprising, since mail-in flashes are usually rich...

there's no such specific one, differetn car different thing. Also SAFC II have 12 points. SAFC I have only 8 points. Don't use other people map and wonder why your car run like **** or blow up.
