Evo X MAP Sensor

FWIW there is a group buy for these on socalevo.net for these. It's from South Coast Mitsubishi and it's $115 out the door.

It's in the vendor classified section. Can't seem to get a link to work but if you go there it's easy to figure out.

We have 6 signed up and they want 10 so help us out .

Is there anything special about the Evo X MAP sensor? It's a 3 bar right? You can get a GM 3 bar for $60.

Yeah it replaces the factory map sensor in the same location - plug and play.

Then you have to make changes to your rom via mrfreds directions and you are now logging boost without the headaches of cutting, splicing, and configuring the gm-3 bar to work correctly.

The Evo X map sensor is the same as the JDM 3 bar, which is great because now its no longer "JDM" and I dont have to say "JDM".

USDM 3-bar map sensor

Gotcha. I'd rather cut into the stock wiring to save some money. I'd also eventually outgrow a 3 bar MAP sensor anyways so I bought a 4 bar one.

What are you talking about?

There is a JDM 3 bar and now that same JDM 3 bar is offered in the usdm evo x, identical part #?

The GM sensor is cheaper but requires cutting, mounting, configuring in the ecu, etc. While the "JDM" / USDM 3 bar is plug and play with a few simple changes in the ecu you can log boost directly through the tactrix cable in evoscan.
