Ok, I have searched and searched but not finding a direct answer to this question.

I have purchased a Buschur Racing MBC, ETS LICP and K&N Drop in. All just installed on my Evo 9 IX MR

My future mods will be a BR 3" TBE and a Reflash.

Right now I just want to set the boost pressure at something decent but safe until I can match the fuel w/ the Reflash.

I have read the MR boosts stock at 21 psi, then tapers to 18 at redline. My concern is that if I set the MBC to 21, then it might run too lean at redline since it wont taper anymore like the factory boost solenoid did.

However if I set it at 18 psi to be safe, I am missing out on 3psi boost.

I do not have any guages other than stock to monitor AF ratio or EGT for safety. What does the forum recommend for boost pressure setting on my MBC

just set it at 22psi and your fine without needing a tune.
I wouldn't go much higher because you stock timing map drops and you wont gain nothing.

Thanks guys, Its nice to see 3 coinciding answers as well. I am using my stock guage, so I will set it to approx 1.447896bar.

Wow you have a lot of fine tuning to set it to 1.447896bar. he he. Set it to 21 your maps will take care of fuel and timing if you do not taper much. Trust me you wont lean out on a stock fuel map. When you install the TBE you can go a little higher.
