Exh Cam Timing on Mivec Evo IX

I know this had to have been discussed before.... but ive been searching for an hour and can't find anything! Anyways, has anyone experimented w/ exhaust cam timing changes (via adj sprocket) on an Evo 9 w/ stock cams? I have the mods listed in my signature and will be installing an HKS adj cam sprocket on the exh cam (Mivec on int of course). From my previous Honda days, we used to retard the exh cam sprocket a degree or two and saw some top end gains. Wondering if similar gains are possible here? Im curious if anyone has experimented w/ it since the mivec varies the intake cam timing so much, that im not sure if increasing the overlap by doing this will create any gains on the stockers...
