I've got ECUflash and EvoScan and it wayyy cheaper to setup everything.
Read this post.

The only draw back on ECUflash is that it can't change on the fly like the AEM can.
I know a guy that has a GT35R and on E85 and still using a stock ecu.
I went this way cuz I wanted to save money and I'm not trying to get 500hp+, but it is very possible with the stock ecu.
There are many tuners now that are very knowledgeable with ECUflash.

im on a 30r with about 500hp on the stock ecu. Save your money and use it for other mods first. If your looking to make a drag car or track car get the aem . But the stock ecu is fine. Just my 2 cents!

Yeah I would go ahead and sell it.
The longest part is getting the softwear setup with the cables.
But after that you'll be glad you saved your money.
You'll need to do a lot of reading in the ECUflash forum to get you an idea of how everything works before you start changing things on your ecu. GL

hmmm what kind of numbers do you want to put down? im on e85 with 1200's and a double pumper. depending on what your goal is you might wanna go with something a little higher than the 1000's just so you dont have to swap them again

Flash your stock ECU to run your injectors, and not throw any codes. Put a plug and play Standalone in the car (like an AEM, or even better yet a Haltech) and use that for 364 days out of the year.
Standalone ECUs provide you with the ability to datalog almost anything you can imagine. Individual fuel and ignition trims per cylinder, closed loop boost control, additional inputs (like Wideband, EGTs per cylinder, multiple fuel and ignition maps, etc, etc, etc), rock some LSx coils, ditch wasted spark ignition, etc, etc.
There's a reason why serious race cars use standalones, and not hacked stock computers.
Collect data and make good decisions based on the data: go faster.
Yes, stock ECUs will provide fuel and ignition tables that are cable of 700hp, if thats all you want, then a stock ECU might work.
