Inspecting a tuned car
So it is time for my inspection due on the evo. The car is Tuned by Sean Ivey of Iveytune. The car has no cat and a defouler on the rear 02 sensor. I have a local inspector that is willing to inspect the car at its current state. So I braught it to him. The car had the battery off of it for the winter while it was stored away. So I drove the car 300 miles before bringing it to him. He ran the test on it and all the readiness codes are ready aside from the 02 sensor and the catalytic converter. So I explained I have no cat and a defouler. The car has no check engine lights and runs perfect. So he said to drive it some more. So I drove the car to about 550 miles and tried again. Still the same thing. My question is, with an iveytune will the car always read that the 02s and cat are not ready? Or is something wrong with my car now causing it to run in an open loop always, which I'd think is very unsafe. If anyone has any idea's please let me know. If sean wants to reply that would be great to. Thanks. - mark-
