I have one on my bby evo 8. Problem is I don't know what version cause it was already installed. I'm trying to get a hold of the previous owner(bought at dealer) to get the story on this car. Dallas area and the evo was tuned at alamo autosport. I think his name is Greg if anybody can help.

I tried with a serial to usb cable and it didn't work. I need to get an older laptop with a 9 pin serial.

buy a aten usb converter, your problem will be gone, I use autronic with a very old xp laptop. It works both with serial and aten serial to usb adapater.

Never used it, so can't comment. I would use what is known to be working.

Wait, did you get it to work on vista with this or just XP?

I had trouble with XP. What did you do to get it to work?

The laptop I want to use doesn't have a slot for the card you're using, so a serial to usb adapter is my only option.

But as to settings, what did you do to get it to work with xp?

I don't know what you need to do to make it work on xp, I have W7. But you may want to check the Autronic forums, http://www.mrm-racing.se/forum/index.php

They have a ton of info and will help you with any issues. Its also where you get all the new software from Autronic.

I'm actually already a member there. Never really did get an answer there when I posed the question before. I simply found a work around with an older computer.

Regardless, I'll be experimenting again soon in getting it to work.
