AEM Digital Boost Guage...

Alright...So I had a mechanical boost guage and decided I wanted to upgrade to an electonic boost guage. I install the AEM digital boost guage and wire everything up. Start the car and the guage is stuck on 3-4 psi. If I got WOT it will go to the desired 26 psi, but will never go below +3 psi.

I connected the mechanical boost guage back up and instantly it will go back to 20-22 inHG. Okay cool, obviously the engine is making vacuum.

Hook the AEM Digital guage back up to the same T fitting and the guage will not go below +3 psi.

Anything else I should check or is a call to AEM inevitable?

Side Note: The DV did flutter when I had the Mechanical boost guage hooked up originally. After the intall of the electronic gauge there was no more flutter. When installing the mechanical guage the second time there was no flutter again. Not sure why, but figured I would put that info in there as well to get the best info possible.

Edit: The power and the ground are hooked up along with my AEM UEGO and there are no problems with that guage.

That is what I figured, but wanted to see if anybody had any insight before they opened up.

Thanks.

There was a thread on here that they had a batch of bad sensors and gauges.

I would just call them.

Good Luck

Update: AEM Tech support had me measure voltage accross the black and red wires and the black and green wire. Apparently the voltage for the black and green wire was too low so they had me send the gauge and the sensor back to them. Will keep posted when new guage received.

Side Note: Still confused as to how only changing the T-Fitting stopped the flutter. Same tap spot, same hose, just different T-fitting. IDK?

Update: Sent back sensor and the guage. They found the sensor was bad.

Installed the new sensor and guage, now everything works perfect again.
