Is everything hooked up right? Also this does not seem strange honestly when you release the boost it should go right back pretty fast and the Greddy is more like a MBC in a EBC Form. If you took the greddy and this side to side you see boost tapper like a MBC but with the HKS you can offset it to hold to redline allowing power to stay up. With the greddy it might not have shown as fast as the HKS is very fast responding. I have the same EBC and its great and its doing awsome.

Ok when you first look goto parameter settings Boost Map A/B next to them the % set that at 100% then goto the regular setting look at which mode your boost is highest at mine is mode B then there are more settings below which is Boost Correction Map and Offset map. Here is my settings. In my parameter settings its at 100%. I set the boost in the Correction map to -17 is set since I am at 17psi at waste gate at 5k at intial setup. Then the lower numbers you have to play with to see where you need to add to hold your boost level. Its a tuning thing you have to play with it and tweak it like a tune. If you want some more help just email me at beissen2001@gmail.com I will do my best to assit you.

3000 4000 6000 7000 8000
Boost Correction Map B
-17 1.6 1.7 1.8 1.8
Offset Map B
100 100 100 100 100

Everything looks good, its going to drop thats normal it should go right back to whatevery you were at pretty fast. The greddy more then likely does not react as fast. The drop is normal its just the excess boost blows out when you shift/the car does and then it takes in more air as it now will be in a higher load set with a higher gear.
