Thumbs up Speed Density Intake Selection

Hello from Afghanistan everyone!

I have been doing a lot of reading on speed density and the advantages that it brings as it relates to tuning. I know I have to purchase the speed density bundle that I have seen many vendors are now selling. My concern is what cold-air intake set up do I need. I know (please correct me if I am wrong) that I do not need a MAF sensor, right? That being said and assuming I am correct, I have been looking for MAF-less cold-air intakes similiar to ones used on EVOs that are running AEM EMS. I have my turbo selection nearly narrowed down between a couple with the 73HTA Green leading the way. I saw this intake set up and was wondering if it would be a great candidate for my speed density intake set up. It is a custom 4" intake with a brand new AEM filter.

Exactly what I did

Parts List:
1 - 3.25" - 4" silicone Reducer/coupler
1 - Spectre 4" aluminum 45 elbow part# 9749
2 - 4" t-bolt clamps (could use worm-gear clamps)
1 - 3.25" worm gear clamp
1 - 4" K&N Filter, part# RE-0870

I cut 1" off of the turbo side of the 45* elbow to get the filter to clear everything, everything else should be self-explanitory.

Total cost was under $90.

I like my intake setup, JM Fab 4" aluminum intake pipe with 4" to 3.25" reducer coupler to mate up to FP compressor cover.
