so i have had my 03 evo for 3 weeks, been in the shop for about 2 1/2 weeks. whenever i drive my car for even 10 minutes it smells like oil is being burnt up too much. I recently had the banjo bolts replaced and got a new clutch master n slave cylinder. any ideas what can b wrong? also my alternator is going bad.. could that b the problem?

any help is greatly needed

Check compression as see if there is excessive blowby.

Yeah but a compression check won't really tell you where the car is losing compression from.

When you smell oil, is it coming out the exhaust or is it under hood? Have you checked the shaft play of your turbo? A lot of times when turbo's are on their way out oil will weep past the oil seals and go straight into the exhaust. Valve stem seals are also something to check.

Here's some good info on leak down tests if the turbo and other things check out. These are DSM links, but there's a ton of info out there that applies to EVO's as well.

Mine spit blue smoke and stunk for a while, ended up being a pinched oil return line, maybe check all your lines see if anything is pinched. Iv learned its always best to check the simple things first
