I road tuned a guys car in the spring. 112k on the stock engine. Just had head studs and 272 cams. He thought it would be a good idea to run a 6262 turbo. I said okay. Got cruising down, started easing into boost, never even got past 15 psi. Timing was less than 5 deg as I worked on leaning out 10.5:1 afrs. #1 rod let go on the second pull. Tore down the block and #2-#4 bearings were in good shape and piston tops didnt have any signs of detonation or knock. Proved that sometimes parts just fail.

I have 126mi. With some an issue with the exhaust valves in cylinder four and doing fine. I run a 3582 and meth daily at 29psi. I ran a FP Red for a couple years before that.
I began tuning my own car due to being uncomfortable with a tune I had received locally. I was running pig rich with no boost leaks.
Do you have any datalogs? Sorry to hear about your loss.

Yeah could be too. Most people blame the tune though. Weird thing is it didn't blow on the dyno. But all I can do is tare apart and built it.

Yup next day. Went to pick up my nephew from boxing second gear at 5000 and bam!! Funny thing is I told him before he tuned please check the timing. Don't know if he did when I told him to.

We have very similar mods, had my car tuned made 407whp and 411wtq at 28psi on a dyno jet. Soon as I left the shop I did a 2nd to 3rd gear pull the car felt amazing so I continued on my 450 mile journey home, as I was cruising along 70-75mph on my phone talking away BOOM, car lost all power and smoke pouring out of the hood. Pulled over and found oil everywhere, so had the girl friend come down with a pickup and rented a u-haul and got the car back home. Tore down the engine and found #1 rod played peek ah boo continued to tear into the enigne trying to find answeres only to find out everything looked great bearings and everything looked fine. Only thing I found was my vacumn hose to my egr popped off so my conclusion was just too much torque for the stock rods. and that was with 24,000 miles on my Evo 8.
