Question want to tune

In your opinion, what is the easiest, most efficient tuning method for a begginer? im looking to self tune my evo 8.

download tephra v7 and do tons of reading.. if the big maps intimidate you then try v5 first.. if you dont want to try tephra, then start with a oem rom first. do lots of reading and more reading.. the stock ecu on your evo is very powerful.

I am using a macbook pro for this, so the latest ecuflash version i can get is like 1.38 or something like that. will this work? and what type of cable do i need to get?
