Quick Cams Question

If I install a set of GSC S2s, springs & retainers into my IX, would it be safe to drive on a factory tune straight to the tuning shop? Or should I just let them install the cams and tune it right away?
Right now mods are just intake and a TBE.
While installing the cams, I would also be installing a lower ICP, twin disk clutch, 1000cc injectors and a Walbro.

Thanks guys

I say you should be fine. I wouldn't go beating on the car until the tune is finished though

The cams are not really the issue as I see it, you will be fine, just stay out of boost. However, your putting in Injectors as well---yourself before the tune? Your not going to be able to drive the car if you do that---the other stuff is fine, the afr will be so far out of wack, it might start but it wont drive. Take it to the tuner then have them do the injectors--should be cheap its simple enough.

If you can do all those other mods yourself just take the injectors with you and show up half an hour early and install them at the shop yourself. They're really easy to do. At 1000cc you can probably still drive on the current maps but it will definitely not be smooth on throttle at all.

+1, get a tune and you will see much more power out of them and be a lot smoother

You'll be ok, just stay off of boost, it's a ***** to drive without being tuned, so tune
asap....
