Check Engine Light EVO IXGSR

Guys,

I need some advice .

EVO IX is throwing engine light, code is P0505, IAC system. But Idle seems to be fine, not rough, stalling etc.

Only problem car does is, hesitant to accelerate over 3500rpm and not always though, very often. Seems like its worse during hot weather.

I did perform ECU reset and the light comes back ON again, especially when driven a bit HARD.

I have only cleaned the MAF and air filter so far. Spark plugs are NGK Iridium. Car has 155k kms,

mild mods:- Turbo Back system, perrin silicone pipes, 8MR BOV, aftermarket ECU Flash.

Please shed some light.

How is your car idling? Does it idle very high for a time?

Yes it does on cold start sits just under 2k and for a few minutes and then drops 900 - 1k rpm. Cheers

Fellas, thanks heaps for all advices, it really helped me a lot. It was a leak on the upper intercooler- T/body outlet hose. I replaced the stretched hose and factory clamps with TBolt. Car is driving fine and much responsive, no CEL whatsoever. I'm gonna replace the IAC valve as well, since I heard it is a trouble maker too 😃. Cheers
