wtk- cam selection

i have a built 2.0 evo 8
stock head intake
precision 5858 bb .86
mainly using 93 oct and meth

what is a good cam to use to get best out of this turbine? presently have s3's.... wondering if they are too big

fic bluemax 1450 or id1000 injectors?


all advice welcome........

Well, what kind of pump do you have? If it's a stocker, then I'd stick with S2s for the time being since the S3s are probably overkill for a stock pump. If you have an aftermarket pump, for the best compromise between spool and power on a (mostly) street car, I'd choose the S2s. Otherwise, if you don't mind a little more tuning time and an extra 200 RPM or so wait for spool-up, the S3s will be just fine.

As for the injectors, I'd go with the ID1000 at the minimum. The 1450s are good injectors, but I'd stick with FIC 1100 (high-z) or higher for better flow/dispersion - the technology is better with the newer High-Z injectors.

If you port the head, the S3's are a great choice for that. With the unported head, you will probably maintain the same peak power just make it a little sooner, and see better mid range if you go to GSC S2's. Basically move the power band back to the left some. I would get the head ported and let it eat..
