hello everyone.. i know this topic has been brought up before but i cant find a for sure solution.

i have a 03 of course the red headed step child of all years.

lets take a step back. i had a old laptop wiped and installed evoscan and ecuflash1.44(now first 1.42). and i bought the tactrix cable 2.0.

i finally got my cable in today so i plugged it in to download the rom and get things started. i had version 1.42 and once the download was complete it said it was successful but then said it couldn't be opened because of a "unknown rom image". i was able to see the internal id # was 94170715. then i tryed the newer version 1.44 and it said the same thing. ive been looking up forums for 5 hours and cant find anything that helps..


the closest rom image is 94170015 i clicked on that one just to see what would happen and nothing still no maps showing.


any help would be nice i have a few hours to mess with it today or my next chance is sat if i get off.

this is the closest i found and i know i dont have the correct # in it how would i find the correct file and # and add it the forum doesnt tell how to do it
