72 views and still noone.. whenever i get on it and it boosts up my aem wideband allways spiked to 10 now i know why.

the hole reason im starting to tune my own car is because this car was tuned 2 weeks before i bought it and its knocking (i believe bec of cel flashing) downlow whenever i get on it.

Just curious. Subi peeps use terms like "stage" and "protune". Hehe. I was just testing a theory and bumping your thread. 😀

Good luck on getting it figured out, brotha. I have a good tuner, if you need another opinion.

Pig rich. Mitsu tuned these cars with over-agressive timing and to prevent knock they tuned the map incredibly rich. Also, keep in mind these targets DO NOT mean that is what the car is hitting when you're driving. Best bet is to do a datalog and let's say the particular cell that is commanded to 10.5 is actually hitting 9.5. Begin to raise the commanded value and relog. Continue to raise this value until your logs match what you really want. What I like to do is build a target AFR map and screenshot it and use it for reference while I make these adjustments.

Also with all respect, based on that fuel map, please be careful tuning. One mistake, such as leaning out the WOT AFRs without retarding the timing can potentially lead to very expensive damage.

Use your knock sensor, use your sensibilities, and I advise getting TephraModV7 and taking advantage of the CEL flash on knock. Very useful for a beginner tuner.

If you have any specific questions I'm more than happy to help you out, and I do also offer remote tunes if you wanted to go ahead and start with something safe and working then use that as a foundation to study from.

Also, to answer your knock question, post a pic of your log around the part that knocks.

Low load, low RPM fuel map looks more than fine, but lean spools a *****

We need logs to help you!

post a log, hard to say otherwise. the map targets have about zero relation to the afr's actually being hit.

my parents live in orange county, im down somewhat frequently so i can try and help you if possible.
