Evo 6 TME, which Ecu ?

Hello from Italy,

we are building a 2.2L 600whp engine for our Lancer Evo 6 TME.

Car use is 80% street and 20% trackday.

I am very undecided about which Ecu mount.
I dont' want stock ecu, since i need data logging, real time map udating, high impedance injector compatibility, etc....

Aem Infinty is in top of our list , but they don't produce a plug and play Evo 6 harness....

I would like to know your experiences and what you advise me for this project.

My vote would go to the Link G4+, mainly because the software is user friendly.
Knock control could be added as an option.

Get Evo 8 USDM 4 plug ECU, and you can use Tephra ROM V7 or you can use FiTronic flex-fuel ROM to run E85 & Gasoline automatically be able to mix.

TME is not today World Rally or World Rallycross championship car, and doubt this car is World TA car. So why spend all that money, based on label and promise it will deliver more, when OEM ECU is so powerful?

The Evo 8 USDM ECU plugs in- depending if its EU RS2 LHD TME- only change Fan Wires (4 wires are swapped across) and if its RHD TME than I think The fuel pump wire also may need swapping over...and that is it. Than you have access to all the data and knowledge accrued by all Evo guys!

Enjoy
