New to the forum but not so new to Evo's and needing a little help. I want to make sure I order the right tuning cable for my car and it seems there are several different ones that some say work and others say do not work for the car. I searched the forum and could not find the answer I need.

So, Is there anyone who could help me with purchasing the correct cable and or adapter to flash my car. It is a 2003 Evo 8 and it already has a protune but I want to be able to changed small things myself and have some background in tuning other brands of imports.

same here i got a evo 9 i paid for evoscan along and got ecuflash but have no idea what cable to get

Exactly man, there's so many different options and not alot of clarity on what works.
I've been trying to research tephramod and evoscan/flash as well to see which would be better for me but not having much luck there either. The last tuning software I used was with UpRev engine management on my Nissan.

The 2.0 works but the 1.3U supposedly logs faster. Just get the 1.3U and call it a day.

Okay so I'll try and find the 1.3. Would you recommend tephra or ecuflash/evoscan?

Doesn't matter get whatever you can get the better deal on. I bought a used cable and unfortunately it does not have a license for ecuflash so I have to flash roms with evoscan. No big deal I can still use ecuflash I just can't flash and read roms from the ecu without evoscan.
